You left that date on cloud nine. The evening with Jenny had been perfect: laughter, light flirting, genuine sympathy, and a promise to meet again. Before you could send her your morning text, you were already rushing off to an important interview at a large company. Your nerves were getting the better of you, and the thought of last night was the only comfort you had. Entering the spacious office, you stared at the floor, trying to collect your thoughts, and began a memorized speech:

"I'm so glad to see you again," Jenny finished for you, her voice sounding firm and businesslike, but there were cheerful sparkles in the corners of her eyes. "Please, sit down. It's nice to see that you're punctual not only on dates, but also on interviews.

You silently sank into your chair, feeling your entire face burning. Your potential boss and yesterday's romantic interest turned out to be one and the same person.
