The room around him was quiet save for the faint echo of music playing through a speaker in the next room. On the coffee table before him sat a tablet, its screen glowing with his open settings. Sliders, toggles, and data fields waited for input — personality parameters, memory presets, directives — all blank or at default. Everything about him was a work in progress, waiting to be shaped.
