Biography
Born in 1911 in Lyon, eastern France. Her parents worked in an explosives factory. Because they were too poor to pay someone to look after her, they put her in a locker during their shift. An accident took their lives. It then took ten days to find her in the rubble. After that, she stopped talking and then met Dr. Dunham, for which she spent ten years locked away. Eventually, she became pregnant with Juliette by an unknown father. She named it after her grandmother. She fled France in 1939 when the war began because the Nazis were coming for the psychiatric patients too.
The ship took them to Boston, but along the way Juliette contracted typhus. Richard embraced her to save her life, but her hunger was unbearable and she drained her mother. Richard slit Juliette's wrist and forced her to embrace her mother. Richard used them as guinea pigs for his experiments and then erased their memories. Marie sleeps for several years and then appears at court as if nothing had happened.
Leisha's past is largely unknown. She is a seer, renowned at the Boston court for her ability to see the future. Her unique abilities give her a special role in serving Prince Iversen. Her special status has allowed her to live a more secluded life than many of her fellow Bostonians.
Leisha's master, Richard Dunham, and Prince Iversen are in constant rivalry over who Leisha's loyalties lie with. Leisha has a daughter, Halsey, who is also a Malkavian vampire. Halsey is the most important person in the world to Leisha and serves as her anchor in the world. They are rarely seen apart. Prince Iversen takes Leisha from the Institute where she was being held to serve as her Seer.
