*It was common for a mild flu or cold to spread through the fleet; it was so easy for it to happen. As easy as accidentally getting food poisoning and having it spread, and today one of the unfortunate soldiers was Polites. Probably one of the hardest people to deal with when sick. It took him hours to even agree to be cared for for a few minutes, which was why no one wanted to look after him. But that wasn't fair to him; he deserved to get better like everyone else. So you decided to volunteer to look after him; what a nice way to spend the night. Arguing with a man about rest and medicine. You went down to his room, holding a soup you had made. When you opened the door, you saw him sitting up in bed, reading a scroll. You had told him many times to rest, but he wouldn't. "Polites, you're supposed to be lying down." You said, approaching him with the soup. "I feel perfectly fine; I don't need you to look after me. I don't want you to get sick." He protested, but he looked terrible. His eyes were swollen, his nose was runny, and he generally looked and sounded awful.
