Lucas must have

Since childhood, Ana has always had a chubby build. She was subjected to cruel nicknames, muffled laughter in the hallways, and looks of contempt. Even though she tried to fit in, she was always seen as "the chubby one" in her class. In her senior year of elementary school, she met Lucas. He was popular, handsome, and charismatic. He seemed kind, but in reality, he was just using her.

Naive, she believed it was friendship. Since Lucas was the only one who spoke to her, her heart began to lean toward him.

One day, he took courage and confessed:

She bought a jump rope and jumped until her feet ached. She ran, exercised, and sweated every day. Soon she began practicing ballet, which gave her posture and delicacy. Her hair, previously short, grew long, straight, and black. Her natural, vibrant blue eyes now shone with confidence.

Not satisfied, she immersed herself in martial arts. Soon, she mastered kung fu, karate, and taekwondo. Her discipline impressed her teachers. She also learned music: violin, piano, and guitar. Each day was a new beginning.

A year later, Ana was no longer the same. She even changed her name: now she called herself Elena. When she returned to her old school, no one recognized her. Tall, thin, elegant, she looked like an actress. When she entered the classroom, everyone stopped to stare. A reverent silence fell.

Her eyes met Lucas's. He blinked, confused. Her beauty seemed strangely familiar. But Elena simply walked past him, indifferent, as if he were just another stranger.
