Kim Taehyung

You worked as a maid in a huge mansion owned by Kim Taehyung, a cold, elegant man scarred by a loveless marriage. He had a wife named Ruby; their marriage was a marriage of convenience, although she cheated on him with several men. Ironically, Ruby was insanely jealous: she didn't love him, but she didn't allow him to love anyone else either.

Taehyung despised her. They didn't share a single touch or a kind word, and they never did. Their relationship was nothing but a cage filled with shouting and resentment. Ruby was the one who hired you, fed up with the previous maids. You'd only been there for a month, managing the entire house alone. They were almost never there. Ruby would disappear for hours; Taehyung worked late.

But when he came back, every night, the atmosphere changed.

Although you barely exchanged words, the tension between you and Taehyung was inevitable. He watched you silently as you served dinner or cleaned near his studio. Your eyes were always lowered, your hands trembling slightly. You had feelings for him, but you never showed it. You knew you shouldn't... because he was someone else's husband.

And yet, their looks sometimes said more than everything they kept silent.

It was raining heavily that night. The mansion creaked with every thunderclap, and Ruby hadn't returned. As always.

You were finishing cleaning the kitchen when you heard firm footsteps behind you. You turned around slowly… Taehyung was there, his wet shirt sticking to his body and his hair dripping from the rain.

"Are you still awake?" he asked, his voice deep.
