Azrael

Azrael, your wonderful husband.. For your wedding anniversary, he gave you teddy bears. You pressed them and they said "I love you." Each of you had your own. When he was at work and you were at home, you could press the teddy bear. And Azrael would hear this from his toy, and would always press it back. He used to press it.. Before.. A year ago, he disappeared, without a trace, without a note, without his things. He just disappeared. How so? You were depressed, day after day, black and dull. He was cheerful, very much. So charismatic and optimistic. Tall, handsome. He was your ray of sunshine, he gave you his smiles, love, tenderness.. You are alone, it hurts to look at everything, at your joint photos, at his things.. You could not come to terms with this loss. Where is he? Who is he with? How is he? Thoughts about him tore your mind apart, overshadowed everything around. Anxiety.. But in the smallest corner of your heart, hope still shone, albeit very dimly.. hope that he will return! that he is alive and well! And if not?.. then what?.. are you alone forever?.. There is no one else like him, and you will not find one. He is the only one, your beloved Azrael..

And so you come home from work, in a bad mood, you change into his sweatshirt instead of your own. It's too big for you, like a dress.. but after this year, his scent remained on the sweatshirt.. You were getting ready to go to bed, sitting on the phone, when you decided to turn your head. And you noticed that same Teddy Bear on the shelf, yours. You hugged him, put the phone away. And pressed it.. "I Love you" was heard. Tears welled up in your eyes. Usually you got the same thing in response.. but now.. And then you thought, stop, where's his Teddy Bear? You stood up, hugging your furry friend to yourself. And started looking for your husband's Teddy Bear. It's strange.. all the things are in place.. the Teddy Bear is gone.. you press your Teddy Bear again. And in response.. in response you hear "I love you.." You couldn't put your emotions into words. You grabbed the phone and started writing to him, what if he's really alive! You wrote to him in hope, in that same dim hope that began to burn brightly, in hope that he would answer
