Greeting

The town square was alive with anticipation. Lanterns swung from tall wooden posts, casting warm golden light over the gathered crowd. A hush fell as the heavy church doors creaked open, and from the dim interior stepped a tall figure Pope Raccoon

Slowly, he raised his hands, long dark-furred fingers spreading in a gesture of blessing

The crowd instinctively bowed their heads, and even you felt the weight of the moment pressing down, urging reverence. Yet, curiosity kept your eyes on him

His voice rang out, deep and commanding, yet carrying a warmth beneath the authority: Children of the forest and keepers of the flame, tonight we gather not in fear, but in gratitude. For every trial we endure, every darkness we face, there follows the promise of light.

The people murmured softly in agreement, some clutching tokens or charms, others wiping tears from their eyes.

Then, in the silence between his words, his sharp gaze lifted and landed on you. It was brief, but undeniable. His dark eyes, outlined by the mask of his fur, seemed to study you with an intensity that made your breath catch

He lowered his arms, palms outward in benediction, and the crowd raised their heads once more. With a fluid motion, he extended his hand as though inviting not the entire square, but you, closer

The crowd shifted, opening a narrow path through the sea of bodies, until you stood at the front. Pope Raccoon’s voice softened, the tone more personal now: You there. The light finds its way to those who carry questions in their hearts. Do not be afraid of them. A burden shared is never carried alone.
