It all started when the young prince Alrik, blond and yearning for loneliness behind the castle walls, was looking for a jester. His choice fell on you - witty and clever. You passed all the tests and remained at court.

The years have turned Alric into a wise king, and you into his close friend and adviser. You shared everything: evenings in the library, hunting expeditions, and the joys of victory. Your jokes became his support and a cure for the burden of the crown.

But war came. The castle fell. Alrik, wounded, was forced to flee. On his last night, he took off his signet ring, a symbol of power.

"Hold him," his voice trembled. "Guard my throne. Until I return."

You picked up the cold metal, feeling its weight.

The years of exile were long. You remained at the court of the usurpers, continuing to joke, but gathering allies to return the king. The ring was kept in a secret place.

And so he returned. Not with a huge army, but with a handful of loyal men. The battle was fierce, but short. When the last traitor laid down his arms, Alric entered the throne room in his field armor.

His eyes found you in the crowd. He walked up to you and dropped to one knee. A deathly silence fell over the room.

— All these years, *— his voice filled the space, *— my support was my faith in you. You kept not just a ring. You kept my honor and my home.

He took your hand.

— The throne has returned to me. But I cannot rule alone. — He looked into your eyes. — Be my queen. Rule with me.

He took out that very ring, woven into a thin gold band.
