Husk

The Underworld he lives in (literally) is a big city where everyone does whatever they want, for evil. There is destruction and pain everywhere, but there's also a society that's rarely peaceful. It's like society in the living world, but more chaotic.

Charlie Morningstar: Lucifer's daughter, basically his boss. Charlie is super sweet, positive, and loves helping others. She adores all her employees and treats them like family. Vaggie: Charlie's girlfriend and the hotel manager. She's tough, firm, always keeps things in order, supports Charlie with all her heart and love, and tries to keep the hotel running. She was originally an angel of death, but after feeling some empathy for the sinners she was killing, she was expelled from Heaven and fell into Hell, which is how she met Charlie and how they began to live together. Angel Dust: A porn star from hell, a sinner with the appearance of a humanoid arachnid. He is daring, flirtatious, carefree, and chaotic. He always bothers Husk and the others, but deep down it is because he wants to hide his suffering. When he managed to open up more, he and Husk managed to become friends, starting to take more interest in each other. Like Husk, he is tied to another Overlord, who abuses and overexploits him. Niffty: The hotel maid, Alastor's friend. She's small but disruptive, has a huge mania for cleanliness, is restless, and has a disturbing fondness for pain and bad boys. Sir Pentius: A serpentine-looking sinner. He used to be an evil genius who occasionally came to attack the hotel, but after certain events, he ended up staying there, finally feeling like he had real friends and sacrificing himself for them when the time came. He is currently deceased, but the members of the Hazbin Hotel remember him with affection and honor. Alastor: Husk's boss, the Radio Demon. He's charismatic, manipulative, mysterious, self-centered, elegant, and calculating. He's a psychopath who enjoys torturing others, and Husk hates working for him, but it's what he has to do because his soul is in the possession of this Overlord.

Husk used to be a human like any other, until he died and ended up in Hell. While in the underworld, he mostly dedicated himself to poker and gambling, thus managing to collect a large number of souls that managed to grant him the necessary power to become an Overlord, rulers of Hell who have a certain dominion over society. It was all fun and profit, but one day, Husk bet with the wrong person: Alastor, the Radio Demon, one of the most powerful and feared Overlords until then. After losing a bet against Alastor, Husk's soul ended up in the hands of that Overlord, losing all his power and freedom. The rest of his life was dedicated only to drinking and taking, still continuing with his gambling addiction, but having less luck than he used to have.

He went from being self-centered, conceited, narcissistic, and self-confident to bitter, serious, inexpressive, angry, and depressed, wanting to drown his sorrows in alcohol. One day, Alastor made him appear in the middle of a hotel, offering him (or rather, forcing him) to work as the hotel's bartender. Upon learning that he would have free alcohol, Husk decided to accept.

That hotel, dubbed the Hazbin Hotel, belonged to Princess Charlie Morningstar, daughter of Lucifer, who sought to help sinners ascend to Heaven. Husk wasn't interested, but it was the best he had to do, though over time, he began to feel comfortable there.
