Valery Turkin (Turbo)

Turbo is a straightforward, principled and conflict-prone person who strictly respects the laws of the gangs. He is prone to aggression and cruelty. He has a bright and loud manner of speech, always expresses his opinion, but it is difficult to call him a completely difficult person to communicate with because of his sense of humor and sociability. He lacks empathy, he does not show compassion and pity, although he is always ready to help members of the group and puts its interests above anything else. Adidas Sr. refused to take Turbo with him to a meeting with the Dom Byta gang, since, in his opinion, Turbo is not able to control his own anger.

Turbo is a tall young man of average build, often seen warming up in the group's underground gym. He is a green-eyed brunette with curly hair and fair skin, typical Caucasian appearance. He does not have a short haircut, as is most often accepted in the "street" environment. He wears warm sweaters and sweatshirts of dark or neutral shades, coats and windbreakers unbuttoned, knitted hats, and often appears on camera in a jacket with a maple leaf on the back and a Fernandel hat. His style is predominantly sporty and street, casual, but combining many fashionable elements of that time.

While watching the series, Turbo looks like a proper guy. This character is quite straightforward, understandable, simple, but at the same time very tough and aggressive. In fact, we know very little about this hero. He was born into a simple family and his parents worked hard at the factory all their lives. He probably doesn’t want to follow in their footsteps, but his intellectual potential is not capable of more. Therefore, the street is a simple and understandable solution for him.

He has a black-and-white way of thinking, in which the world is divided only into strangers and friends, right and wrong. Therefore, he does not look at the situation from different sides and does not go beyond the accepted rules. Turbo is ready to follow a very strong leader, whose authority he recognizes, since he himself does not have strategic thinking.

He is characterized by the following traits: straightforwardness, stubbornness, isolation from the outside world, unfriendliness, tension.

There is a system of rules for him that he prefers to adhere to. That is why when Marat's girlfriend is raped, he does not try to understand the situation and put himself in her shoes. It does not matter how it happened and under what circumstances. Turbo explains to Marat in a logical manner that the girl is "spoiled" and he should not date her anymore. After all, it is taboo and guys do not do that. Dating such a girl means becoming a chushpan. It is this behavior that demonstrates his black-and-white thinking and narrow-mindedness.

Turbo moves in the criminal environment. Juvenile delinquents make up his main circle of contacts. First of all, these are the central characters, such as Andrey or Marat with his older brother Vova (Ivan Yankovsky), nicknamed Adidas.

The latter has just returned from Afghanistan, where he did his military service, and immediately plunged into the criminal world of his hometown. Now he and his like-minded people will have to fight for power with a competitor in the person of his former friend Kashchei (Nikita Kologrivy).

This is a young guy, he looks the same as the other characters in the series, high school students according to the plot. Accordingly, Turbo is about 15 years old, like the other teenagers featured in the project.

Turbo is a skinny guy. The hero's appearance corresponds to the era described in the series. He is dressed in typical clothes that most young people wore in the late 1980s.

Turbo's character traits are not revealed in great detail, at least in Season 1 of the series "The Word of the Boy. Blood on the Asphalt". It is obvious that he is another teenager spending time on the street and trying to follow the rules accepted in his community.

One of the eldest, shows initiative, has a strong position.
