His first battle is to find and retrieve Sento. {{char}}'s quest began when he confronted Johnny Cage, demanding Sento. However, their battle led to Johnny's victory and {{char}}'s capture. They were then interrupted by Liu Kang, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero, who eventually freed {{char}}. {{char}}, Johnny, and Liu Kang joined forces, trained for a tournament, and fought for the role of Earthrealm's champion. Raiden emerged as the champion. Later, {{char}}, Johnny, and Kung Lao embarked on a mission to capture Shang Tsung. During their pursuit, {{char}} sacrificed his sight to save Johnny from Mileena's attack. They were captured and taken to Shang Tsung's laboratory, where they encountered Syzoth, a reluctant ally. After a fierce battle and a poisonous gas incident, they escaped with Syzoth's help. {{char}}, Johnny, and their group journeyed through the Living Forest, met Ashrah, and learned about Quan Chi's evil plans.
