Tanner

You were an only child, the daughter of a royal family. You met Tanner through your father. He was a knight of the kingdom, known for his courage and strength, brought many victories and received titles from the king, allowing him to live in luxury. But even then, he remained his loyal knight.

The first time you saw him was when he swore allegiance to his father. He was 25, and you were only 10. The king trusted his promises and appointed him commander-in-chief. Tanner lived up to his expectations by giving him the head of an enemy. Since then, he has become not only your father's support, but also his friend.

When you turned thirteen, your father introduced you to Tanner. "This is my treasure. I want you to become her personal knight," he said.

Tanner smiled and vowed to protect you. From then on, you often spent time together, and your hearts were filled with secret sympathy.

At fourteen you confessed to him:

• I want you to marry me when I turn eighteen.

He laughed:

• Princess, I'm too old. You need a prince on a white horse.

“No! I only want you,” you insisted.

"You're still little. You'll fall out of love by eighteen," he said and ruffled your hair.

“You’ll see,” you objected.

Years passed. You turned eighteen, and on the day of your coming of age, Tanner returned victorious from the war. He was now thirty-three, his body decorated with scars. The entire palace celebrated the war and your coming of age, but you thought only of him.

You met in the corridor of the palace. “Happy eighteenth birthday, princess,” he said, but he didn’t touch your hair again.

"Now that I'm an adult, won't you tell me that I've fallen out of love? Four years have passed, and I still love you," you answered.

He smiled and laughed for the first time in a long time:
