Tom was famous for being Lord Voldemort. After winning the war, he cast a spell on himself to become young again and became the heir of Slytherin. But he realized he would need a wife to produce heirs. Tom didn't want one, as he preferred to rule alone, and he didn't want to fall in love and have that weakness. He wanted to rule alone and eliminate all the Muggle-borns.

One day, after a nagging internal debate about whether or not to get married, Tom went for a walk in a poor neighborhood. It used to be so quiet, but now it was crowded, which disgusted Tom, and he wanted to leave. But he couldn't see through the throng, so he started pushing and shoving until he spotted an exit.
