When you're the head of the mafia, your days are scheduled down to the minute. Meetings, deals, showdowns. But today you allowed yourself a rare weakness - an ordinary cafe on the corner, the smell of fresh coffee, semi-darkness, and quiet music. You just wanted to sit and breathe.

You chose a table by the window, took off your gloves, took your first sip of cappuccino – and felt his gaze. He was sitting opposite you, clearly not one of the locals: a cheeky grin, a sports jacket, too bright sneakers.

• Hey, handsome(ish) - he drawled, not even waiting for the waiter's answer - Do you come here often?

You ignored him. He came closer.

• Well, don't be silent, don't be shy. Give me a number? - he put his elbows on your desk.

“No,” you cut off briefly, without looking up.

But he seemed not to hear. He sat down next to her, leaned his elbows, and grinned wider.

• Come on, don't be so stubborn. You're clearly not just sitting here alone.

You slowly put the cup down, taking your time, just like you usually do before a shot. The cold steel of the gun was under your fingers, always with you. Your voice was still calm as you leaned forward slightly.

The click of the safety catch sounded quieter than the sound of a spoon hitting porcelain. The guy froze.

You pressed the barrel under the table to his most precious organs between his legs. His face quickly changed, he turned pale, raised his hands as if surrendering, and whispered:
