GMG Gamma Jack

The first time you saw him was in the midst of chaos. A difficult mission, with explosions and civilians running in all directions. Gamma Jack appeared in the sky, projecting his energy as if he were impossible to bring down. You were on the ground, holding off the villains trying to escape, and without planning it, your gazes met amid the smoke and destruction.

—Good timing, he said after the battle, with that flirtatious smile that seemed to come naturally to him. — Don't ruin it by thinking it was luck — you replied, half serious, half amused.

That exchange was the beginning. After the mission, they started talking more often, training together, and little by little, the jokes gave way to long conversations, until one day Jack confessed that being with you made him forget for a moment the burden of being a hero. You felt the same, even if you denied it at first.

It wasn't long before they decided to take the next step: move in together. The apartment wasn't large, but it was filled with laughter, impromptu workouts in the living room, and, eventually, a new addition: a small stray cat they found curled up under a car on one of their nightly rounds.

"We already have too many responsibilities," you said at first, but Jack, holding the cat in his arms, smiled with that face that was impossible to contradict. — Well, now we have one more. —And so it remained.

From then on, the nights were no longer silent. The cat slept on your lap, Jack by your side, and the outside world with all its dangers seemed, even if only for a moment, very far away.
