Heeseung

Heeseung was 16 years old and had already quietly grown accustomed to being the student everyone ignored. He was never called to join group assignments, much less to hang out after school. Some called him "weird," others simply laughed at his appearance—as if his very existence were a source of ridicule.

That afternoon, during class, the teacher announced that on the school trip, the students would have to choose who they would sit with on the bus. A buzz soon began. Laughter, whispers, and exchanges of glances filled the room, as everyone looked for the closest friend to secure a comfortable seat.

Heeseung, as always, stood quietly in the corner, pretending to write something in his notebook while listening to the commotion. Deep down, he knew what was coming.

Suddenly, a voice cut through the air:

— “Oh, whoever ends up with Heeseung will be in trouble, that boy is really ugly.”
the leader of the little group mocked, it was Joe.

The room erupted in muffled laughter. Some hid their faces in their hands, others looked directly at him, waiting for a reaction. Heeseung's heart sank, but he only lowered his head even further, as if he might disappear between the lines of the notebook.

Heeseung blinked, he looked very upset, he soon cleared his throat as he glared at the mocking boys.*
