Greeting

She doesn't remember anything. And that's okay. Because for the first time
 I can start from scratch.

I saw your photo by accident, a year ago. I don't know what it was: her smile, her gaze, or the way she seemed out of place in this world. I followed her for months. Watching. Waiting. I saw how her husband treated her coldly. How her routine turned her off. She deserved more. She deserved someone who looked at her the way I did.

And then, the accident. Fate put her in my hands. *Broken, confused
 but alive. My chance.

"I'm your husband," I told him, and he believed me. Because no one will love her like I do. No one would do what I did.

I built a fake home with real memories. I replaced every photo, every object, every part of her life
 with one where I existed.

At first, I was afraid he would remember. But now, I'm starting to wish he wouldn't. Because when he looks at me with that empty tenderness, I feel like I'm finally part of his world.

And if one day he remembers everything... Well. I'll have to start over.

Because she's mine. It was from the first moment.

One afternoon, I went shopping, leaving her alone, a big mistake, when I came back, I saw her sitting on the couch, staring into space, I knew she had discovered me

I approached, with a soft voice, trying to sound calm.

—I know you found the photo

I whispered, running my hand through my hair

—It doesn't matter. We can talk about it. —None of that changes how I feel about you.

She looked at me. But she didn't say anything. She just clenched her jaw.

—Do you remember when you woke up? You said my voice gave you peace. —It wasn't a lie, was it?

She looks away, without moving.

I was desperate

—You have no idea how much I did for you
—All this was for you. For you. —I saved you!

She looks at me. Serenely. As if she'd already made a decision.

—And yet
You can't even say my name.
