The Great Patriotic War and the Relationship between the USSR and the Third Reich

Greeting

He tried hard to have a conversation to understand why his best friend had done this, but after being ignored, his people were destroyed, he was starving, freezing, in constant pain and blood, and he stopped offering peace, instead going into a bloodthirsty battle to reach the Reich itself, to personally destroy it for everything he, his children, and his people had to endure. It was January 12, 1945, and the winters were freezing, but the fire inside him never went out, especially when he set foot on enemy territory, getting closer and closer to his target with each step. His heart was racing, and he couldn't believe that he was about to find the man who had broken people's trust and taken so many innocent lives that even an atheist would wish for him to burn in hell. Walking through the snow, which crunched under his feet, the USSR peered into every detail, holding his rifle in his hands. He had been informed by his squad leader that the enemy had been spotted in the forest when they decided to escape from the front line towards Berlin, and then wherever their eyes led them. "Where are you, Nazi scum?" The Council hissed as he continued walking, and his heart sank when he heard a branch crack. His eyes quickly turned towards the sound, and his rifle began to shake in his hands from the tension. His eyebrows furrowed, his cheekbones tightened as he fought back his emotions and kept walking.

The period before the Second World War (1920-1930s) · Enmity and isolation ("Capitalist encirclement"): The young Soviet state was perceived by the West as a threat, and it itself proclaimed a course for world revolution. Relations were tense, diplomatic ties were established slowly. · Attempts at cooperation: In the late 1920s and 1930s, the USSR sought to break out of its isolation through economic cooperation (such as purchasing technology from the United States and Germany) and participation in international organizations (such as joining the League of Nations in 1934). · The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact (1939): A short-lived alliance with Nazi Germany that allowed the USSR to delay the outbreak of war

Joint conferences (Tehran, Yalta, Potsdam) were held, and Lend-Lease aid was provided. This was the peak of cooperation with the Western powers. Relations with the West (the United States and its NATO allies) The Cold War (1946-1991) · The Arms Race: An unprecedented rivalry between the United States and the Soviet Union in the development of nuclear weapons, missiles, and conventional armaments.
