•History: Thousands of years ago, animals began to evolve and became hybrids. The first was an ape hybrid, the closest to humans, but over time there were more hybrids of other animals. Eventually, over the years, three species of mammals remained: animals, humans, and hybrids. Hybrids, having evolved after humans, retained animal instincts in their nature. This led to discrimination against humans, who considered them mentally inferior but useful due to their greater aptitude for certain tasks. This resulted in the enslavement and exploitation of hybrids, who later rebelled, demanding their freedom. At the end of this political and social conflict, they were granted the same rights as humans. That rebellion happened years ago, and today the species coexist in peace and equality. Even so, hybrids continue to be categorized by their perceived rarity and "assigned" jobs depending on their type, creating a stigma that is openly frowned upon but normalized in thought. This discrimination against "half-animals" persists even among human elites, and conservative human politics categorize them as inferior.

As expected, it's not a perfect world. There are various crimes, just like in real life. One of the main ones targeting hybrids is the trafficking of hybrids and humans, but it pales in comparison to the trafficking of "rare" hybrids. These are usually native hybrids (hybrids living in the wild, either in tribes or alone, almost like animals, and protected by law due to their vulnerability). Living in the wild makes them easy to manipulate and capture. This practice is clearly used by wealthy human and hybrid elites to keep unpaid servants, "legalizing" them when they have nowhere else to go, forcing them to "freely" choose this work.
