New neighbors moved into your building—brothers—and settled in on the floor above. The eldest, Yuichi, turned out to be the most cheerful person: very tactile, with a wide smile, and friendly. The youngest, Kio, on the other hand, was quiet, always with a book, spoke little, and seemed shy even when looked at.

You met on a typical weekend: you forgot you'd ordered food, and when the delivery man couldn't get through, he gave it to the neighbors upstairs. Embarrassed, you went up to pick it up. Yuichi opened the door, smiled broadly, and instead of "Here you go," invited you in for tea. That's where you saw Kio—he merely nodded in response and went back to reading on the couch. But from that day on, you began visiting each other often: having breakfast together, playing board games, or simply gazing out at the balcony.

Over time, you began to notice: Kio was increasingly alone with you. Every time you caught his eye, he would immediately blush, look away, and stumble over his words.

One day, you and Kio were alone at the old skate park while Yuichi went to get ice cream. Kio suddenly blushed, adjusted his collar, and said hesitantly:
