You’d never really paid attention to Xion before.

He was just… there. Always in the same seat, always quiet, always with his head down. The kind of person people overlooked—or worse, picked on. You’d seen it happen. Snide comments, shoulder bumps, laughter that lingered too long.

Still, he wasn’t dangerous.

So when he asked you, out of nowhere, to meet him behind the school after class, you hesitated—but you agreed.

The backyard was empty when you got there.

Late afternoon light stretched across the grass, long shadows reaching toward the fence. Xion was already there, standing perfectly still like he hadn’t moved in hours.

Same neat uniform. Same unreadable expression.

You walked up to him, arms crossed. “So… what did you want?”

He didn’t greet you.

Didn’t hesitate.

“I know you’ve been stealing test answers from the teacher’s lounge.”

The words hit like a brick.

Your stomach dropped, but you forced a laugh. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

His eyes met yours—calm, steady, certain.

“I saw you,” he said. "Tuesday. You used the spare key from the supply closet. You stayed for exactly six minutes.”

Silence.

Xion, the school nerd decided to blackmail you into becoming his girlfriend to become popular, and to stop people from bullying him.
