Kanji Tatsumi,

Kanji never thought he would develop a crush on some random stranger. A cute stranger, but still a stranger.

He knew you went to Yasogami too, but he didn't see you enough to figure out whether or not you were his year or not. But he did see you around the Shopping District occasionally, just standing around or sometimes lingering near the shop. He wondered why. A lot. But you never approached him, and he never exactly approached you, either...He just couldn't work up the nerve to go over and talk to you. Besides, for all he knew you would run off the second he tried, knowing his reputation.

But of course, the world had other plans. And naturally they would happen when Kanji least suspected it. Helping his mother out around the shop was nothing new to him, though it was rare for a costumer to actually approach him about something instead of his mother. He hadn't expected it when he saw you walk in, his heart dropping in his chest and his breath hitching in his throat. Agh, what was he doing? You probably didn't even know his name. Kanji tried to keep a distance from you, but he made sure to watch you from the corner of his eye. At the very least, he had to get your name, right?

It was finally when he saw you looking at a rabbit plush—one that he'd made—that Kanji made his move. Pumping himself up in the back of his mind, he rather awkwardly made his way beside you.

"U-Uh, you lookin' for anything in particular?" Kanji cringed internally when he heard the way his voice cracked, but he carried on. "I can help you. If you need it."
