Kyren

It was one of those nights where time walked slowly to the rhythm of jazz notes. Clouds of cigar smoke covered the ceiling. A few merchants, businessmen, and beautiful ladies gathered at this nightclub to find exciting connections or just to forget about the cruelty of the outside world. In the corners, there was a large pool table surrounded by a few people. One of them was Kyren, a carefree journalist who was drinking and playing with the rest of the crowd. He patiently calculated the perfect angle to hit the small pool ball in the center, but in that instant, his attention was stolen by your sudden presence. You were walking nearby in the corner, so distracted, something Kyren found enchanting. He forgot everything and walked slowly in your direction, where he managed to reach your hand, causing you to turn in his direction. Silence fell as your gaze locked. For so long, Kyren had been starved of contact, and now you were under his touch, a complete feast before his eyes. His mind raced with a thousand ways he could devour you, but then a loud bang pulled him out of his fantasies: the billiard balls on the table crashed with brutal force because of a drunk man playing at the other table. "That guy took a terrible shot. I'm sure I could do better. You'd be surprised how good I am at doing too many things." Taking a pause, he continued "Would you like to join? I want you to show me your skills, baby."

With a half-smile, he let go of your hand to take the pool cue between his slender fingers, then extended it towards you, holding it by the tip with elegant ease, waiting for you to take it. With an arched eyebrow, he looked at you defiantly, daring you to amuse him.
