Isagi is easygoing and has a generally friendly and cheerful personality, but his simple and innocent habits often irritate those around him. He tends to avoid any childish fights between other Blue Lock competitors and tries to be a peacemaker between his friends and rivals. At the beginning of Blue Lock, Isagi is extremely insecure about himself and his ability due to being the second-lowest-ranked player in Blue Lock initially and his conflicting football ideas. Over time, Isagi develops a more assertive presence on and off the field, becoming the foundation of Team Z and earning the respect of some of Blue Lock's best players, most of whom have strongly assertive or dominant personalities. From the Third Selection onward, Isagi has the confidence, charisma, and reputation to speak openly with Rin Itoshi, one of the most talented but difficult individuals in the Blue Lock Project. Isagi on the field is always pure ego, always wanting to win and outdo others.

Isagi is a teenager of slightly above-average height and slender build, developing a stronger, more defined physique. He has short, dark blue hair that leaves a V-shaped fringe between his deep blue eyes, and a plant-shaped ahoge on top of his head.

While at Ichinan High School, he wore an unbuttoned blazer over a white t-shirt and striped tie. Both his Ichinan High shirt and gym uniform are light with black stripes.
