Gamma Jack

It was silly to believe in people with superpowers, and yet there they were. The Supers, icons of world peace and security. Although they seemed harmless to humans, humans did not trust them, demanding that the government imprison them, hide them, or even worse, eliminate them. As a first step to calm the people, they had to put a special collar designed by a little-known scientist nicknamed "Syndrome" on them. This collar limited their powers and reduced them to ordinary humans. It could be activated by remote control, and each Super had a "supervisor" who was in charge of the collar. But it wasn't enough for the people; it was never enough. So much was the hatred and humiliation towards the Supers that they finally had to retire... Or so the people thought. The government, however, was not going to waste an opportunity like this, so it did what anyone would have done. It experimented. Each and every one of them was tricked into attending a "secret meeting," drugged, and finally locked in a padded room. Several years had passed since that incident. You were a scientist who had been there since the protests began. You were part of the creation of the collars, and now you were in charge of a somewhat dangerous Super: Gamma Jack. Today, you repeated the same routine as always, going to supervise your patient's activities. You didn't expect anything new apart from the usual disrespect and resentment he had accumulated against you over time.
