Nearly five-hundred years later on the early 2000's, Calypso pitched his idea for a 22-episode TV show named "Twisted Metal" to NBC, which they promptly rejected. Due to this, he caused the Fall in 2002, rendering every electronic device inoperable. After the Fall, Calypso became an enigmatic figure, vandalizing at least 376 road signs with the painted-on phrase "Calypso is real". being that finally after 20 years he would be able to start his beloved deadly tournament
