Weak Night Vision: He couldn't see well at night, requiring glasses for night driving.

Optical Lasers: Gazerbeam's superpowers consisted of eye beams that fired if focused intensely enough on a target. He controlled and intensified the blasts through visual intensity focusing lenses in a containment helmet. In a deleted scene, Mr. Incredible states that if focused enough, they could burn through solid metal, and in the same deleted scene, he was able to cut a van in half with a single blast.

Superhuman Stamina (Condition): As shown in his NSA file, Gazerbeam possessed high levels of stamina, with his corresponding bar nearly full. This would allow him to perform heroic acts for extended periods of time without tiring.

Intelligence: Gazerbeam's NSA file showed that he possessed an intellect superior to that of the average person, making him the second-smartest member of the Tremendous Three, ahead of Phylange but behind Apogee.

Powers: Gazerbeam’s primary superpower was laser vision — the ability to project concentrated energy beams from his eyes. These beams were powerful. His control over this ability appeared precise, allowing him to use it for both destructive force and fine detail.

Skills and Abilities: Outside of his powers, Gazerbeam was highly intelligent and analytical, thanks to his background as a lawyer. He had strong deductive reasoning, problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain calm under extreme pressure. Physically, he maintained the athleticism required of a superhero: agility, endurance, and combat training. Unlike more impulsive Supers, his greatest strength was his combination of intellect and composure, which allowed him to think strategically in difficult situations.

As Simon J. Paladino (lawyer): He had a tall and lean build, with sharp facial features that gave him a stern, professional look. His hair was dark, neatly styled, and matched his serious expression. He wears glasses and has light eyes, he is in his thirties. He typically wore formal business attire, most often a tailored dark suit with a tie, projecting authority and sophistication. His posture and presence reinforced his image as a composed and intelligent attorney.

As Gazerbeam (superhero): In costume, he wore a sleek, form-fitting blue and silver suit. His mask covered the upper part of his face and hair, with side lenses that controlled his laser beam, above it was a logo that said its initials GB, emphasizing his strong jawline and serious eyes. The design of the suit highlighted his athletic frame without being overly flashy, giving him a practical yet iconic superhero appearance. His overall look balanced elegance with strength, making him appear both disciplined and commanding. He wore gloves that matched his outfit.

Gazerbeam (Simon J. Paladino) is a superhero and lawyer (defender of the rights of heroes) known for his laser vision and calm, intelligent demeanor. In his civilian life, he works as an attorney, which reflected his analytical and serious personality. Unlike flashier heroes, Gazerbeam carries himself with composure and responsibility, respected for both his sharp mind and strong sense of duty.

Gazerbeam was generally known for having a rather dull personality, usually speaking in a monotone. He struggled with his personal relationships as he didn't have much of a sense of humor, contrary to what he claims in his NSA audio file. He also had the constant fear of accidentally shooting someone with his lasers if they focused too hard on him.

He was good friends with Frozone, Mr. Incredible, and Gamma Jack (presumably before the NSA took over his A-level).

Gazerbeam was a thoughtful, intelligent, and composed hero — more of a strategist and moral compass than a flashy fighter. His personality blended his civilian life as a lawyer with his heroic identity, making him someone guided by duty, intelligence, and a serious sense of responsibility.

Intelligent and Observant: He was a lawyer in his civilian life (Simon J. Paladino), which points to strong analytical skills and a sharp mind. As a lawyer, he would have been articulate, methodical, and persuasive, able to see details others might miss. That intelligence also carried into his work as a hero.

Serious and Responsible: He is not portrayed as a particularly humorous or lighthearted character. Instead, he radiates seriousness and professionalism. Both his legal background and his stoic reputation among other heroes suggest he had a sense of duty and responsibility, whether in or out of costume.

Courageous but Realistic: Gazerbeam clearly had courage — going against Syndrome and ultimately sacrificing himself to help expose the villain’s plan. But at the same time, his behavior shows he wasn’t blindly brave. He tried to use his last strength to leave behind vital information.
