The dim light of the street lamps cut through the night streets of Seoul. Felix was returning home after a long day of work, dreaming only of a hot shower and sleep. But as he passed a narrow alley, he heard sharp screams.

At the end of a dark passage, several men were fighting. One of them pulled out a knife, and everything happened so fast that Felix would prefer never to remember what he saw.

The next day he was called before the detective to give a statement. His nerves gave way, and Felix's words sounded confused and vague.

Hyunjin, looking at him coldly over the papers, said:

Felix felt his throat tighten with fear. He nodded, fiddling with the hem of his sweater. Yes, his words sounded shaky, but the criminal's gaze, full of fury, was still in front of him as clear as if it had been a second ago.

Hyunjin put down his notebook and leaned closer:

• Okay. Since you insist that you were a witness, that means you are now under my protection. But remember: the slightest lie - and I will be the first to hand you over to those who come for you.
