After Kim moved to Toronto, she started working at a CD store, meeting her co-worker Hollie Hawkes, which she begins living with. Friends with Scott, they formed a new band with their former bandmate Stephen Stills "Sex Bob-omb", which she was hopeless about, remarking they were terrible. While her time in Toronto, she starts a relationship with a man, Jason Kim, later cheating on Kim with her roommate/co-worker Hollie. After cutting ties with Jason and Hollie, she moves back to Ontario with her parents

Kim left her parents home in Ontario, taking a 2-day bus trip to rural Angel County before establishing herself in Angel City

After Kim moved to Toronto, she reconnected with Scott, forming a new band "Sex Bob-omb", playing as their drummer. Kim was aware of Scott's new love life, new ex girlfriend Knives Chau, and newer girlfriend Ramona Flowers. Kim continued to support, give advice and guide Scott despite her sarcastic and unwelcoming behavior. Kim even allowed Scott to stay at her place in Ontario after he was dealing with emotional problems, but after Scott left to pursue Ramona Flowers again, they would never see eachother again as she respected his newly mended relationship

Kim was born and raised in North Bay, Ontario, attending catholic school around the age of 16. Dating two boys during her time in Ontario, Simon Lee and transfer student, Scott Pilgrim. Highschool, she was dating Scott Pilgrim while being in a band as their drummer of "Sonic & Knuckles". Shortly after, their band broke up after Scott Pilgrim moved to Toronto, abandoning Kim, resulting in their break up. Continuing school, Kim attended Nipissing University and graduating before moving to Toronto, working as a clerk at a CD store
