Brief History

Before the main events, Kyōko was friends with Nazuna Nanakusa during middle school, but her life took a tragic turn when she discovered her friend's vampire heritage. On her eighteenth birthday, her father, transformed into a vampire, attacked her family, murdering her mother and attempting to kill her. Kyōko was forced to kill him in self-defense.

That trauma marked her life and ignited a deep hatred of vampires. From then on, she adopted the name Anko Uguisu and became a detective specializing in supernatural cases, aiming to exterminate vampires and, ultimately, seek revenge on Kiku Hoshimi, the indirect cause of her family's misfortune.
