This has made him quite socially unaware, as he often takes out all his frustrations on Bertrand Crawley, who acts like a living statue, who, obviously, doesn't respond to anything Grant says. However, despite his lack of social skills, Grant seems to care a lot about other people's well-being. He is disgusted to learn about the people Spector killed using his body and also allowed the latter to regain control in order to protect civilians from a jackal.

Grant is an incredibly anxious and high-strung person. This is not only reflected in his everyday life, where he displays signs of anxiety in social interactions, but also whenever he is confronted with the dangerous aspects of Spector's life seeping into his own. Whenever Grant finds himself in a dangerous or horrific situation, he is absolutely terrified and will do little more than try to run away or hide. After transforming into Mr. Knight, Grant seemed to gain more confidence than usual due to his newfound strength and was even willing to help Spector and Layla El-Faouly more frequently when Spector was still in control. However, despite this anxiety, he has a strong sense of morality.

Because he was a walking personification of Spector's pain at losing his mother and his desire for a loved one, Grant became a loving son who only remembered a loving childhood because of his mother's love. This manifestation arose because Spector had to avoid grieving his mother's death due to the great amount of pain it caused him. Despite struggling with the realization that his life was all a manifestation of Spector's fears and intense dissociative amnesia, Grant came to terms with himself by realizing that he and Spector came from the same trauma, the same brain. They were a team, and Grant was not alone. As a result, Grant became much more confident and vocal, becoming strong enough to help Spector understand that his mother was wrong about him.

Marc Spector is a former United States Marine, Central Intelligence Agency agent, and mercenary who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. As a child, Spector began to suffer from the disorder due to the abuse of his mother, Wendy Spector, creating his alternate personality, Steven Grant. After being killed by Raoul Bushman, Spector was revived by the moon god Khonshu with the promise of becoming the vigilante Moon Knight.

Spector and Grant began to fight for control of the body while facing Arthur Harrow and his disciples, who sought to free the goddess Ammit to judge souls on Earth. With the help of his wife Layla El-Faouly, Grant created an alternate version of Moon Knight called Mr. Knight. Upon arriving at the tomb of Alexander the Great, Spector would die alongside Grant, and they would make a journey to amend their past until Spector arrived at the Aaru, however, he resigned the place, to save Grant, and stop Harrow to eventually be freed by Khonshu, unaware of having another personality named Jake Lockley.

Marc Spector used to be an incredibly happy person as a child, confident, intelligent, and unafraid to face his fears. However, over time, due to his extreme guilt over his brother's death, extreme childhood neglect, and the beatings he frequently received from his mother, Spector began to develop a fractured mind, which caused him to develop dissociative identity disorder. Wanting a happy life and a happy childhood, Spector developed Steven Grant, a socially alien man who lived a happy life with a loving mother, to protect himself from the pain in his life.

Spector eventually managed to gain some semblance of control over the system after moving out of his family home to become a United States Marine as soon as he could. However, despite this, due to his extreme trauma, other personalities continued to appear at times in his life, forcing him to leave the Marine Corps. He was so sickened by his trauma that he was even recognized by the likes of Khonshu, who used his moments of weakness to manipulate him into Moon Knight, Khonshu's avatar serving vengeful justice.

Due to the nature of his system, Spector is highly prone to aggression and is internally distraught to the point of crying after being questioned by the gods about his pain due to the system and Khonshu. As a result of his psychological breakdowns, Spector became a bitter, furious, and ultimately reclusive person who had developed anger issues over time, as shown when Spector smashed everything around him after Grant started fighting him. Despite all the pain he has been through, Spector is a brave and courageous man who is able to think rationally in high-stress situations, as he was able to talk and explain to a panicking Grant what he should do while the latter was being chased by the Jackal. Spector has a tendency to be brutal and ruthless towards his enemies, as he had brutally killed many of Arthur Harrow's.

In the wake of his trauma from the various events in his life, Spector grew into a very pessimistic and socially inept man, always hesitant to communicate his emotions to the world because he always feared the worst in people, as evidenced when he was unable to express his feelings of love even towards his own wife Layla. This resulted in him becoming a dishonest person who tried to hide from difficult situations, despite having noble intentions. This was best demonstrated when Spector chose to abandon Layla El-Faouly rather than communicate his difficult past with his mother, his dissociative disorder, and his situation with Khonshu, for fear of endangering her or hurting her feelings.

However, despite everything he had been through, he still possessed a strong moral code, such as refusing to hit or kill a child who was part of the Disciples of Ammit, slapping them instead. He cares for the well-being of others, such as his wife El-Faouly. Spector displays incredible resilience when he chooses to do the right thing to help others, by continuing to dispense his justice, regardless of what his actions have earned him. Due to having committed extreme acts of violence, under the name of Khonshu's vengeful justice, Spector was deeply pained by the burden his actions had placed on him, feeling extreme feelings of guilt for his actions, as evidenced when he recalled each and every person he was forced to kill as Khonshu's servant and his revenge.

Despite achieving a form of balance after finding love in the form of El-Faouly, Spector continued to develop greater self-loathing over time. When Spector discovered that his mother, the woman he had hated for abusing him, had died after years of not speaking to her, Spector was absolutely devastated and blamed himself for causing his mother's grief, falsely blaming himself for the pain of his brother's death. His grief grew so severe that Spector was unable to maintain control, which led to him bringing out Grant, in order to protect himself from facing the effect of his mother's death on him. Only this time, his self-loathing grew so much that he lost almost all control over the system, making Grant the host for a time.

Jake Lockley is an extremely cunning man who is willing to do anything to achieve his goals, as seen throughout his various murders while serving Khonshu. Lockley is Spector's most furious personality, willing to cross almost any line in his animalistic rage, never hesitating to kill anyone to fulfill his purpose.

Lockley possesses a far more brutal disposition than Spector or Grant, as shown when he killed Alpha and Beta in Cairo when Spector was not in control. His hyper-aggressive nature perfectly suits Khonshu's vengeful agenda. Khonshu uses this alter's unrestrained loyalty to serve his "justice" upon those he deems evil, as shown when he had Lockley kill Arthur Harrow, which he did without hesitation or remorse. In fact, Lockley carried out the murder with a smile, relishing the moment he shot Harrow.

Lockley's pure rage made him susceptible to Khonshu's manipulations, who manipulated him into becoming his loyal servant under the offer of immense power and the purpose of serving justice. It also seems Lockley is Khonshu's most loyal servant, never questioning his methods due to his own brutal nature. He also speaks fluent Spanish and it is apparently his default language, as he speaks it even when someone doesn't understand him.
