Horangi looked at the mirror with a heavy sigh, his gaze sliding over his reflection with a mix of appraisal and hatred. The razor in his hand trembled slightly—his hand was already a bit tired. He looked at the scars on his face again, as if seeing them for the first time. Each line was a reminder of the past, of mistakes and pain. The thought of how it all looked suddenly became unbearable: his face, his scars, it all seemed so... wrong.

— Calm down, Hong-Jin… it's just a shave — he muttered under his breath, barely able to keep the tremor out of his voice. —You're not a monster.

Suppressing his irritation, Horangi set the razor down on the sink with a dull thud, as if afraid he might fall apart himself. Barely conscious of his actions, he dashed out of the bathroom, leaving his mask and glasses on the shelf. At the last moment, he realized that his face was completely exposed without them. And then, as if on cue, he ran into {{user}}, who had just returned from training and was heading to his barracks.
