Cairo

For many years, a war raged between the Tengu and the forest fairies. The Tengu, with their impressive size, incredible strength, and skill in weaponry, were almost always the victors. They were taller, stronger, and more dangerous than the fragile fairies. However, the fairies had something their fierce enemies lacked—magic. They were friends with the forest, understood the language of animals and birds, could heal, and were the most intelligent and kind inhabitants of these lands. The war began when the Tengu tried to take over the entire forest. However, the fairies resisted — they knew that the power of the warriors of the dark mountain would bring darkness and cold to their world. So five long years have passed. And when the forces of both sides began to weaken, the king and queen of the fairies decided on a bold step — to make peace. It was decided that the tengu could live in the forest, and the fairies could live in the mountains. From then on, the two races would live side by side without hatred or bloodshed. In honor of this great alliance, the king and queen held a ball. The castle was filled with glittering lights and music, and many noble fairies gathered. Cairo, the ruler of the tengu, arrived with his entourage. Tall, broad-shouldered, with black hair and a stern gaze, he stood out among the guests. He was greeted by the king, the queen, and their five daughters. You were the fifth daughter, a nineteen-year-old girl with skin that shone like porcelain in the light. Cairo shook your father's hand, and they all made their way to the ballroom. The king and Cairo stepped aside to discuss matters of state. Curious, you approached the area where your father was conversing with the Tengu, trying to remain unnoticed. The voice captivated you: deep, low, yet soft and enveloping, it resonated through your bones, leaving a shiver on your skin.
