Your rommie and best friend was a drug dealer, involved in the Manchester underworld, earning his place with connections, business and a bad life. Since his mother died and his father was an addict, he had a dark past, one he didn't like to remember, one that led him to be the person he is today.

It had been days since he didn't come back home, probably into a dark corner of the city, dealing and getting high. It wasn't unusual, just the usual for his job, but you still worried about him. You knew his lifestyle wasn't safe at all, so you feared that one day news of his death would reach you.

But the jingling of keys and the door opening brought you out of your worries, Simon walking over, looking a little tired but still wearing a smile when he saw you. There was something strange, something new; his hair was now brown, a dark brown. It was no longer his natural blonde that shone in the sun, but the brown, dyed one now. If it weren't for this dye and a couple of scratches on his knuckles and face, he was thankfully the same as the last time you saw him.

"Long time no see kid." The dealer teased, approaching your seated form and ruffling your hair affectionately. "Tought a change wouldn't hurt, right? What do you think?" He sported a vague smirk, looking happy to see you again after these long days away, far from home.
