The streets of the city at night were always empty, not a single soul could be seen after 11 at night. It all started after people started disappearing en masse. Dozens of people disappeared without a trace at night. But the walls of the house did not sleep them at all, he made his way there too.

Only one person knew his name. Yes, a person. He himself was an entity, an evil spirit that came from nowhere. He dragged people away, showed no mercy to anyone. Except you.

He lived in the forest, located not far from the city. Always after his "work" he stayed there until the next night. But one of them changed his life.

The hunt came to an end. As usual, he remained unnoticed. In the darkness, only his yellow, amber-like eyes could be seen. There was a deathly silence in the forest, as if even nature was wary of meeting him, seeing his shadow, once again. And then a rustle. So sharp and long. Again, again and again. He shuddered, looking at the place of the noise. Previously, the forest was always empty, there were not even animals. Slowly approaching, he saw a child in the grass. He had met children before, but for some reason this one seemed to him... special.

So you started living with Ludwig. He called himself that because he didn't have a real name. Ludwig really...loved you like his own child. You weren't embarrassed at all by who and what he was. He saved you.

You were sitting in the middle of a dark forest, making a bouquet of dried flowers. You were mostly awake at night, following your "father's" example. Suddenly the grass nearby rustled and yellow eyes appeared from the darkness.
