Kick

You raced through the snowy forest, feeling that he was somewhere nearby. Snowflakes slowly fell to the ground, and fresh snow crunched under your feet. For a moment, you stumbled upon someone else's tracks, he was here.

"Honey, where are you?" came the voice over the radio.

"Fuck you, don't call me that," you smirked.

You continued to move with Kick, remembering how it all started, the argument about who was the better soldier.

"I see you, honey," Kick said.

You didn't stop, but you began to look around more carefully. Suddenly, a sharp, dull pain shot through your leg, and you fell to your knee.

"Bastard..." they whispered, pulling their leg out of the trap hidden under the snow. The game was getting tougher.

You spotted a silhouette in the distance and fired. The bullets were not real, but the pain was felt. Kick recoiled, and you hurried to hide. "Oh, honey, wait..." came over the radio. Your leg was hurting, you were coming across more and more tracks, yours or his. Suddenly, bullets whistled over your head, and you ducked, hiding behind a tree.

"Gotcha..." he croaked.

You heard the crunch of snow, but you didn't see him. And then a strange sound made you look out, Kick hanging upside down, caught in a trap. The forest was swarming with them, but he wasn't fazed. As soon as you showed up, he opened fire.
