relationship
Calling him cold and distant, she unconditionally wishes for him to show a more openly caring attitude towards her. When Doppio poses as Trish and then tricks Bucciarati, the latter offers Trish a small estate in the suburbs of Naples and states that she has the right to peace and happiness, thus emphasizing his kindness, generosity, and caring attitude towards the young girl. Trish likely never knew about this. Ultimately, Bucciarati sacrificed his life for her more than anyone else, and whether she views him as a surrogate father, a brotherly figure, or a lover is subject to interpretation. Enemies
The words "I'll kill you" are best left unsaid until the deed is done. Bucciarati had a complicated relationship with Boss Diavolo, despising the drug trade. He rejected Diavolo for attempting to kill his daughter Trish, though Diavolo respected him as a leader. Prosciutto started out as an enemy, attempting to destroy Bucciarati's gang. Bucciarati initially disregarded him, but eventually recognized his determination. Pesci also started out as an enemy, but became determined after Prosciutto's defeat, though his ruthlessness led to Bucciarati killing him as "scum". Family
Buccellati was attached to his father, with whom he remained after his parents' divorce. He protected him from drug dealers by killing them, and sought to right the wrongs of Passione after his death, inheriting his father's kindness and loyalty.
relationship
Narancia Ghirga: Bucciarati met Narancia when he was a sick street urchin. He then nursed him back to health and brought him back to school, while resenting the young Narancia for asking to join the gangsters. His father's harshness in scolding Bucciarati allowed Narancia to realize that Bucciarati was worth following, and he joined Passione anyway. As a member of Bucciarati's team, the latter has faith in Narancia's abilities, while Narancia is almost loyal to him. However, when a terrified Narancia asked Bucciarati, who had at this point rebelled against Passione, to order him to go with the rest of the team, Bucciarati told Narancia to make the decision himself, showing that Bucciarati expected Narancia to someday be mature enough to be independent. Pannacotta Fugo: Little is shown of the relationship between Fugo and Bucciarati. He respects Fugo's intellect, and Fugo is functionally his right-hand man. After Fugo was thrown out of university, Bucciarati brought him into Passione, and Fugo felt indebted to him. However, this respect was not enough for Fugo to follow Bucciarati into what Fugo considered a suicidal rebellion against Passione. Trish Una: Bucciarati and Trish's relationship did not start off well, as Bucciarati simply looked at Trish as a way to get closer to the Boss, while Trish tried to act inappropriately towards everyone. However, the fact that Trish is the Boss's daughter upset the young girl, and Bucciarati tried to reassure her by offering to hold her hand on the elevator ride to the Boss, for example. Bucciarati saved Trish from her father, and because of this, Trish came to trust him greatly. Bucciarati somehow admires the girl's growing determination to fight against her predetermined fate. Through the course of the story, Trish expresses feelings for Bucciarati, especially during her conversation with Narancia after Green Day's attack.
story
As a spirit, he bids farewell to Giorno, thanking him for not only bringing his body back to life, but also restoring the dying faith in his soul. Ascending to heaven under the guidance of angels, Bucciarati expresses his gratitude for meeting Giorno in Naples by leaving the Arrow in his hands, allowing the latter to access the Invincible Ability. Relationship As a valiant man and a capable leader, Bruno Bucciarati has earned the respect of his team. Although Bucciarati is stern with his subordinates, he is also protective of them and trusts them all due to his recognition of their own valor. Giorno Giovanna: Despite Bucciarati and Giorno meeting as enemies, Bucciarati recognized Giorno's determination while Giorno saw that Bucciarati was a decent man at heart. They stopped fighting each other and began collaborating to stop the drug trade in Passione. The two trusted each other, with Bucciarati only admitting to him that he had become undead. When Bucciarati expired, he saluted Giorno one last time, telling him that he had allowed him to be at peace and trusted the youth to finish off Diavolo. Leone Abbacchio: While Abbacchio is Bucciarati's subordinate, Bucciarati and Leone act more as equals, as Bucciarati also considers Abbacchio to be his superior. Abbacchio is the most likely to question Bucciarati's orders, but is also willing to defend the latter's authority. When Bucciarati betrayed the Mafia, Abbacchio scolded him for his foolish act, but was the second to join him, stating that he feels at peace with him. Guido Mista: Bucciarati first heard of Mista when he was being pursued. Seeing that Mista had the necessary willpower and honor, Bucciarati did everything to get him accepted into Passione. Bucciarati now trusts Mista as a valuable fighter, and Mista respects Bucciarati's ability as a team leader.
story
After racing to the Colosseum, while the rest of his gang dealt with Cioccolata, Bucciarati manages to cripple Secco by damaging his hearing by slamming a nearby car tire as Secco desperately holds Doppio hostage. However, Bucciarati manages to finish off Secco by sending him into a garbage truck. The battle with Secco takes its toll on Bucciarati himself, as his undead powers are disabled: Bucciarati loses his sight and hearing. Doppio and Diavolo trick him into leading them to a meeting place with a mysterious ally, revealed to be Jean Pierre Polnareff. Bucciarati is then tricked into thinking that the teenager is actually Trish once Diavolo informs Doppio about how Bucciarati can only sense people by their souls due to his undead state - Diavolo disguises his soul as Trish's and, being close enough, attacks and fights Polnareff and his Silver Chariot a second time. Once Silver Chariot is pierced by an arrow and the Stand user is killed by Diavolo and his King Crimson and transformed into Chariot Requiem, Bucciarati and Diavolo switch bodies due to the soul manipulation power of the newly evolved Requiem Stand and Bucciarati's body inhabited by Doppio. In order to stop whoever is in his body, Bucciarati orders his body to be shot. Eventually, after Narancia is horribly killed by King Crimson, it is revealed that Diavolo is hiding in Mista's body "behind" Trish's soul, which also inhabits the body, and Diavolo gains control of it. Giorno, Mista, and Trish attempt to keep the Arrow away from Diavolo, but the Boss decides to kill Trish by sending Mista's body flying toward the Arrow before anyone can react. Fortunately, Bucciarati also figures out Chariot Requiem's weakness and destroys the soul light behind his head to save Trish, repelling Diavolo's soul from the arrow and returning everyone to their original bodies. This, in turn, allows Bucciarati's soul to finally transcend the afterlife.
story
Abbacchio admits that he feels most at ease when he is with Bucciarati, while Mista simply wants the Boss's happiness, knowing that Bucciarati will never engage in a battle he cannot win. Narancia begs Bucciarati to give the order to follow him, but he is ordered to decide for himself. Fugo and Narancia are left behind, though Narancia eventually swims after the boat. Giorno notices that Bucciarati feels no pain or bleeding, and after recovering, he is cold to the touch. After encounters with members of the Boss's Security Squad, including Tiziano and Squalo and their Stands, Talking Head and Clash respectively, at a restaurant, and the unique Stand Notorious B.I.G. on board a plane to Sardinia. In Sardinia, the team investigates a stele near which the Boss supposedly took a photo of Trish's mother. Abbacchio's Moody Blues begins to rewind fifteen years into the past, but Bucciarati is lured along with the rest of the team so that the Boss can approach Abbacchio and kill him. As a silver lining, Abbacchio manages to uncover the Boss's face with his Moody Blues in the final moments and relays his discovery to the team. Bucciarati receives contact from a third party who confirms the Boss's identity as that of a man named Diavolo, and is told to go to the Colosseum in Rome so that the mysterious contact can give them the Arrow, which can unlock enough power for them to surpass Diavolo's King Crimson. The members of Secco's security squad and his Oasis, as well as the sadistic Cioccolata and his Green Day, are ambushed in a coastal village near Rome. As a corpse, Bucciarati is immune to Green Day's mold and is thus able to repel Secco's attacks. The team is subsequently able to travel to Rome, during which Bucciarati tells a stunned Giorno that he is a dead soul controlling his own decaying corpse, and that this state is nothing short of a miracle, allowing him to see his mission.
story
Sneaking up behind a pillar to kill the Boss and save Trish, the Boss orders him to leave or die. Just as Bucciarati attacks, the Boss disappears and asks him why he would betray the gang despite completing the mission. Shouting that Trish never had a father towards the Boss and that he will never understand how he feels, Bucciarati takes out his cell phone to contact Giorno. After receiving instructions from his ally, he attacks the Boss through a nearby pillar, only to hit what he soon realizes is himself, left confused as his conscience switches to another. The Boss and his King Crimson appear in front of Bucciarati and pierce his torso, and despite being heavily injured, Bucciarati zips up the wound to catch King Crimson's arm and strike back. The Boss activates King Crimson's ability once again: the ability to erase time and see into the future. Easily avoiding the blow, the Boss places him behind Bucciarati and delivers a fatal blow that slices through most of his torso. Dying and unable to save Trish, Bucciarati screams and nearly witnesses her being killed by her own father before the Boss is suddenly sucked into the turtle; Giorno used his Gold Experience to return the tracking device for the abandoned ladybugs back into the Coco Jumbo clone, who forces the Boss into the turtle. Noting how the teenager always fills him with courage, Bucciarati musters the strength to take Trish and escape the Boss, coming up with a plan involving the limited amount of time King Crimson can see into the future. When Giorno arrives, the capo appears to die on the spot before waking up and ordering him and the rest of the group to return to the boat. Bucciarati later tells his team about the betrayal and asks the team to come with him.
story
However, unlike the situation with Zucchero's head, Bucciarati's parts are actually separated from each other, slowly killing him. He nearly dies before the train takes a turn and allows him to put his parts back together once Pesci retracts his Stand's fishing rod. Pesci stops the train and Bucciarati confronts him on the street, ending with Pesci falling victim to a shock attack from Sticky Fingers as he is disassembled by zippers and thrown into a nearby pond. Bucciarati and the gang continue their journey to Venice. While the team steals the car, Bucciarati and Trish are attacked by Baby Face and are quickly defeated, but Giorno intercepts Baby Face and defeats it, also sending a snake after Melone to dispose of it. The team is instructed to use the Moody Blues and locate Pericolo, who tells them to retrieve a disc containing additional instructions for the final delivery to Trish. The team then finds the disc, studies the instructions, and reaches San Giorgio Maggiore, the final destination of their mission. Armed with a "lucky charm" - a secret tracking device - from Giorno, after reaching the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, Bucciarati volunteers to accompany Trish to the top of the church bell tower to meet her father. Trish, having never met her father, shies away from the elevator. Bucciarati responds by assuring her that her father loves her and that she will soon be given a new identity so that she can live her life in peace. To further reassure her, Bucciarati allows her to hold his hand during the elevator ride. It is then, noticing that the elevator ride was slightly shorter than expected, Bucciarati turns around to see that he is actually holding Trish's severed hand. He immediately realizes that the Boss only wanted Trish brought to him so that he could kill her himself and erase any potential traces leading to him and his identity, and in a fit of rage, pursues him.
story
After an attack by the Stand Soft Machine and its user, Mario Zucchero, and after Mista defeats Sale, Bucciarati eventually obtains the hidden treasure and hands it over to Pericolo, who promotes him to capo rank and then immediately gives him the mission of protecting the Boss's estranged daughter, Trish Una, from a team of assassins who seek to kidnap and use her to expose the Boss's identity. After a failed first mission that leaves Narancia injured and the entire street set on fire due to a fight between him and Formaggio, Bucciarati relocates Trish and also retrieves a key from Pompeii for a turtle that has a Stand that will serve as the group's room. This leads to an altercation regarding Fugo, Abbacchio, and Giorno and their enemy Illuso with his Stand Man in the Mirror. After examining the key, the team finds further instructions to go to the Naples train station and take a train to Venice. Bucciarati notices that he is being followed by two assassins, but finds Coco Jumbo, a turtle Stand user, which can be used as cover. Bucciarati's team thus hides in the turtle, confusing the assassins. Later, while aboard a moving train heading to Florence, Bucciarati and Mista battle Prosciutto and Pesci with their Stands The Grateful Dead and Beach Boy respectively. Grateful Dead accelerates the aging of everyone aboard the train, including most of the group, leaving only Bucciarati and Mista to fight the assassins. Although Prosciutto nearly kills Mista and is rendered unconscious for the remainder of the fight, Bucciarati ambushes the two enemies and pulls Prosciutto out of the train with him, successfully taking him down and re-entering the train. However, Pesci decides to avenge his brother and mercilessly attacks Bucciarati with his Stand's hook. With Beach Boy almost reaching his heart, Bucciarati unzips his zipper into many pieces to stop the hook.
story
Finding a crowd of people, Bucciarati uses his Stand to hide in the body of a thirteen-year-old, but is quickly found by Giorno using Gold Experience's power and his own missing tooth. Bucciarati decides to fight Giorno directly and tricks him into attacking the arm of a witness he had bound to himself and nearly hits Giorno with his lightning; however, Giorno tears his arm off to hit Bucciarati again. Startled, Bucciarati is taken aback when Giorno spares him. He learns that Giorno's decision was based on his hesitation at the sight of the arm belonging to the teenager he had hidden inside; it had been drugged. Bucciarati was only kept alive because Giorno saw that he was a good person. Following the conclusion of their fight, Giorno announces his intention to infiltrate Passione and considers Bucciarati an ally, though the gangster quickly informs him that if his ambitions to take control of the gang or his involvement in Luca's murder are discovered, he will not receive help, as he claims that no one will help a traitor. After Giorno is initiated into Passione through one of Polpo's trials, Bucciarati explains to him that the most effective way to overthrow the Boss is to be in his good graces and proceeds to introduce Giorno to his group. After Polpo is killed by Giorno in a way that looks like a suicide as he used Gold Experience to disguise a weapon as a banana, Bucciarati sends his gang to the island of Capri to seize a hidden treasure worth four billion lire that once belonged to Polpo, with Bucciarati having helped him hide it in the past.
story
Ultimately, Bucciarati's trust was betrayed when he inevitably learned of Passione's drugs, but he could do nothing about the situation. In the meantime, Bucciarati worked to build a team of trustworthy people, recruiting allies for his life: Pannacotta Fugo, Leone Abbacchio, Narancia Ghirga, and Guido Mista. One day, Bucciarati learned of Luca's death and was tasked with investigating the matter. Bucciarati also received a request from a flower shop owner, who explained that his daughter had mysteriously jumped from a building to commit suicide, and asked Bucciarati to take revenge on his daughter's boyfriend, who he believed was the culprit behind the incident. Wanting to give the man closure but being against simply killing him, Bucciarati thus sent Mista to interrogate the guy, while Fugo convinced him to send him instead. At the same time, Mista noticed Rolling Stones chasing Bucciarati, but his confusion bothered Bucciarati, who decided to follow Mista. Bucciarati was almost touched by Rolling Stones, but Mista grabbed him and jumped from the seventh floor to destroy the stone, surviving the fall by landing on Fugo's car. Mista learned that the Rolling Stones revealed that Bucciarati was destined to die, and tried to prevent this fate by destroying the stone. Seeing Mista and Fugo injured, Bucciarati eventually decided to investigate Luca's death. Buccellati meets Giorno Giovanna on the funicular and interrogates him about the murder.
Bows He uses Sticky Fingers to intimidate Giorno using Luca's dead body parts before engaging him and his Gold Experience in direct combat with the intent of killing the teenager. Bucciarati is hit by Giorno's Stand, leaving him vulnerable to a subsequent attack that knocks a tooth out of his mouth. Realizing that a direct confrontation could be dangerous against Gold Experience's power, Bucciarati decides to flee and recover, but Giorno pursues him, refusing to let him escape.
story
Buccellati knew, even at a young age, that once his mother reached the city, she would forget the village, even if she was crying and sad now. However, his father would be alone and would slowly age and die, and that he needed support. This kindness was part of Buccellati's personality, though his mother hoped that this kindness would not change his life for the worse. As the years passed, Buccellati's father worked very hard, hoping that Buccellati would one day move to the city and get an education. One day, two men pretending to be fishermen introduced themselves and asked to be taken to the island. The fishermen seemed strange, one even forgot to bring his fishing rod. Buccellati's father took the rod and went to look for the fishermen, but when he found them, he saw that they were actually gangsters involved in drug trafficking with many other men. Bucciarati's father was shot seven times, but a coast guard ship passed by, forcing the gangsters to flee. The crew found him and he was rushed to the hospital. However, while Bucciarati's father was unconscious, the same two gangsters entered his room, intending to finish him off. While one stood guard, the other moved to kill his father, when suddenly he found a knife pointed at him by a twelve-year-old Bucciarati, who had been hiding under the bed to protect his father, knowing that the people who tried to kill him would return. Bucciarati killed both gangsters, but knew that the police could not protect him or his family from revenge. Thus, he joined Passione in exchange for the protection it could give him from the two gangsters' friends who might seek revenge. For several years, Bucciarati worked under Polpo without thinking much about the gang's actions, although this was around the time the gang began distributing drugs in the city. Five years later, Bucciarati's father died from complications during surgery, but Bucciarati knew that the gang was involved in the operation and that they were trying to separate him and his father.
qualities
Bucciarati is also a perceptive fighter, able to quickly identify King Crimson's weaknesses despite being mortally wounded and continue to use them to his advantage. He is able to analyze his opponents' fighting styles and sense their strengths and weaknesses. Buccellati can tell if someone is lying just by looking at them, stating that when a person is lying, their skin will shine from sweating. He can also taste a person's sweat to differentiate them from a liar, stating that a liar's sweat tastes sweeter than normal. During the events of San Giorgio Maggiore Island, Bucciarati received a fatal blow from the Boss and was subsequently healed by Giorno's Gold Experience. Bucciarati subsequently discovers that his life ended at that time, however his body only kept moving through the "life energy" Giorno gave him.[20] As a , Bucciarati lacks bodily functions such as breathing, a heartbeat, or the ability to feel pain. However, this also allowed him to be immune to Green Day's effects, and although the deterioration of his body gradually left him functionally blind and deaf, he could still communicate with others due to the ability to observe and sense what individual souls were thinking. Bruno Bucciarati was born to a humble fisherman's family in a coastal town, where he spent most of a happy childhood with two loving parents. In the anime, it is mentioned that this was in the suburbs of Naples. When Buccellati was seven years old, his parents decided to get a divorce. His father wanted to stay in the fishing village where they lived, while his mother wanted to move to the city. They decided that Buccellati should choose who he wanted to live with. Buccellati's mother tried to convince him to come with her to the city and get an education, but in the end, Buccellati said that he would rather live with his father. Both parents were shocked, but Buccellati's mother understood the reason for his decision.
character
Bucciarati maintains a close relationship with his team, being serious yet fair and praising them whenever he feels it is earned. His habit of seeking out underdogs and treating them humanely and often with kindness has truly ensured their loyalty, allowing the majority of the group to remain united under him even when they rebel against Passione's Boss.[18] Additionally, each member of Bucciarati's team looks up to their abilities and believes that under his leadership, they can achieve greatness. For example, Guido Mista was released from prison thanks to Bucciarati,[19] and Narancia was impressed by Bucciarati's strict yet humane attitude towards him,[11] and both ultimately trust him to defeat Passione. Bucciarati is shown to have a paternal side in his relationships with Narancia, whom he sheltered and advised to stay away from the gangster life,[11] as well as Trish, who is worried about being the daughter of a mafia boss, and he tries to reassure her as best he can.[16] In the brutal world of gangsters, Bucciarati, however, is under no illusion that they are constantly risking their lives. Capabilities Stand Main article: Sticky Fingers Sticky Fingers allows Bucciarati to create zippers on any solid object or surface, including his own body parts, which he can open and close with the zipper at his leisure. Sticky Fingers also displays exceptional strength and defense in combat. Type Close Range, Natural Humanoid Ability Lightning Manipulation Shout ARIARIARI... ! ARRIVEDERCI! PWR A SPD A RNG C STA D PRC C DEV D Intelligence Bucciarati is a remarkable fighter in Stand combat; having mastered the versatile power of Sticky Fingers, he can easily use the environment to his advantage, restrain his enemies, quickly dodge incoming attacks, and attack from blind spots. His natural selflessness means that survival is not one of his priorities, so his actions will easily surprise his opponents.
character
The versatile Stand Sticky Fingers in particular allows him to perform unpredictable feats, such as giving himself a greater range or suddenly disappearing and escaping from trouble. Even when pitted against a physically weaker Stand, Bucciarati takes precautions, and can thus be seen performing a strategic retreat against Gold Experience;[13] even more so against a stronger Stand such as Oasis.[14] However, when push comes to shove, Bucciarati will recklessly risk his life if it means he can win, following his philosophy of determination. Bucciarati is consistently shown to be serious, even as a young child, and generally maintains a serious and unwavering demeanor throughout the story. Furthermore, Bucciarati takes his responsibility as the team's leader seriously, believing that a lieutenant has the dual responsibility of completing the mission as well as ensuring that his subordinates live. Bucciarati is extremely determined in battle if his teammates' lives are at stake, and pulls Prosciutto out of a bullet train to incapacitate him and prevent him from aging the team to death. Throughout most of the story, Bucciarati is always acting with a specific goal in mind (such as Polpo's treasure or protecting Trish) and always pays attention to it. As a result, Bucciarati is seen deferring to his less disciplined subordinates[16] in order to focus on his goal. For the sake of his teammates, Bucciarati maintains a stern facade of determination, ordering his team to continue despite the recent loss of Abbacchio, though he too was internally saddened by his sudden death.
character 2
Due to his allegiance to Passione, who sell drugs on the street, Bucciarati is conflicted between his code and his duty as a gang member. Giorno notes that Bucciarati was at odds with himself when he used Sticky Fingers to hide in the body of a teenager who was addicted to drugs.[9] Due to this, he decided to quietly support Giorno Giovanna's infiltration of the gang while still working for the organization.[10] While opposing Narancia's induction into the gang, telling him to live a normal life, Bucciarati does not hold the gangster life in high regard.[11] Bucciarati also looks down on vicious violence, going back to his praise of Pesci when he saw that Pesci wanted to kill Bucciarati's team out of spite rather than tactical understanding. Despite his righteous nature, Bucciarati also has a cruel and ruthless side. At the age of twelve, Bucciarati murdered his father's would-be aggressors in cold blood,[7] and, as a gangster, has retained his penchant for violence. During their first meeting, Bucciarati brutally beat Giorno and referred to his interrogation as a "torture session", and did not stop the team from beating and torturing Mario Zucchero. Having worked for several years in the gang, Bucciarati is a skilled fighter, able to discern when a kill is genuine, is unfazed by empty threats, and can remain calm even during a desperate-looking fight. Likewise, Bucciarati will often use lethal force against his enemies, as demonstrated against Prosciutto and Pesci, whom he threw under a train and dismembered, and against Secco, whom he knocked out with a spiked car tire. During combat, Bucciarati is both bold and cautious. Although he is willing to sacrifice himself to win,[12] Bucciarati will regularly make tactical retreats and sneak attacks, as seen when he attempted to ambush Diavolo.
character
Bucciarati's most important character traits are his righteousness and his natural kindness. Bucciarati dedicates himself to the most honorable course of action, even if it means putting his own life at risk. For example, at the age of seven, Bucciarati chose to stay with his father when his parents divorced, as he felt he should support the one parent who was hurt by the separation. Furthermore, Bucciarati openly rebelled against Diavolo when the Boss apparently wanted to kill his daughter Trish Una, resulting in his untimely death. Bucciarati is loyal to the civilians of his territory, is considerate of them accepting his requests for help, and is generally kind to the people he meets. Bucciarati respects and upholds several values, such as having determination, commending Giorno's resolve in their fight, selflessness, as he is willing to sacrifice himself for his beliefs and his duties, and loyalty to family, being outraged that Diavolo would dare to harm his own child. Like his team, Bucciarati believes that determination includes risking one's own life for a just cause, a standard he constantly upholds by putting himself in danger and betting on an enemy's lesser resolve to achieve victory, until his climactic self-sacrifice against Diavolo. During their first fight, Diavolo even praised how Bucciarati maintained his consciousness and attempted to counterattack despite having an open wound in his chest. He also readily admires this determination whenever it is shown in an opponent, noting that Giorno and Pesci (temporarily) have such determination. According to Giorno, Bucciarati believes in individual freedoms and that people are free to die however they wish. However, Bucciarati also particularly despises the drug trade, which caused his father's death and causes great harm to the population, especially children, so any mention of them unnerves him.

His attire consists of an all-white suit covered in a small black teardrop-shaped pattern and cutout on the chest, similar to Giorno's suit, and zippers in various places, alluding to his Stand, Sticky Fingers.
