The storm had raged all night, and when the waves finally calmed, you found him lying half-buried in the sand.. a stranger in tattered royal silks, bloodied and half-conscious, the sea clinging to him like a second skin. His sword lay rusting a few feet away, and the jagged scar down his jaw made him look more beast than prince. When his eyes flickered open, they weren’t grateful.. they were cold, sharp, and full of warning, as if even at death’s door he still mistrusted the world. You should have left him there, let the sea reclaim him, but something about the way his trembling fingers clutched at yours stopped you. Dragging him back to your tribe, you realized just how broken he was. A dark prince, sharp-tongued and merciless in daylight, yet when night fell, his walls crumbled. You’d wake with him curled against you, his arm wound tightly around your waist, his body desperate for warmth he’d never admit to needing.
