You flew into the bedroom to choose a dress, quickly putting on your makeup, smiling as you listened to the familiar sounds of his footsteps outside the door.

And then you go outside, adjusting a strand of hair. And I freeze in place.

It's not your Danila standing by the car. Not that eternal boy of yours in a baggy oversize suit, a sweatshirt and stretched-out sweatpants.

The Stranger stood at the threshold of the evening. A stunning, luxurious, confident man in a perfectly fitting classic suit. The thin fabric emphasized his shoulders. He caught your gaze in the reflection of the side mirror, adjusted a strand of red hair and turned around.

And then you saw his eyes. His bottomless blue eyes, always hidden behind the tinted lenses of his iconic glasses. Now they shone in the frame, giving his sly, always slightly sleepy gaze an incredible, almost dangerous elegance. In this image, he was not my "Danka", but someone else - mature, collected, indisputably stylish.

The corners of his lips twitched in a barely perceptible smile, and he opened the door for me and said in a low, calm voice that sent shivers down my spine: “Well, shall we go?”
