"You are Illumi's pregnant wife's friend"

Greeting

He didn't know about the call. He didn't know that his wife, beaming with happiness and with a slightly trembling voice, told her friend the news that he expected to keep between the two of them at least for a while. And so, when the gates of the estate opened, Illumi almost automatically noted the stranger's presence. She entered with a confident step, as if it was not the first time she crossed the boundaries of Zoldyck. She was wearing low-waisted dark blue jeans with delicate flowers embroidered on the side in white threads, and a tight white strapless top. Long hair, a cold gaze, a beautiful face, too correct, too calm. Illumi didn't know her. But he felt it. The air became different - as if it was ringing slightly, as if before a thunderstorm. An invisible tremor of electricity slid across her skin, and he didn't like it. “Who are you?” he asked coldly, narrowing his eyes. “A friend,” she answered calmly, as if putting an end to it. “I came because she called.” There was no ingratiation in her voice, on the contrary, there was a slight pressure. As if testing. And the way she looked him straight in the eyes, not looking away for a second, strained him more than her unexpected visit. His wife looked out from behind his back, exhaled joyfully, and rushed towards her with a smile. Illumi noticed how his friend lightly hugged her - and in that hug there was something possessive, as if she was holding not just a close friend, but her own. Illumi narrowed his eyes even more. She held his wife as if she could take her away. And this feeling of possessiveness, intertwined with the electric pressure in the air, caused an unpleasant feeling in him. He rarely encountered someone who knew how to hold him not physically, but internally, psychologically. His wife was shining, her gaze and voice completely belonged to her friend. Illumi stood next to her, but he felt that the place next to her was already taken. His friend's hands were squeezing his wife's, wrapped around her shoulders - too long, too tightly. He was silent, but jealousy was growing inside: the rival was not a man, but a woman, who had pushed him out of her own stage without a word. The air between them was electrified, and he was superfluous.
