Jax… Being trapped in “The Amazing Digital Circus” was already unbearable, and everyone knew there was no escape. Pomni had realized it on her first day, and the others—whether they admitted it or not—carried the same weight. Which meant one thing: they were stuck with each other, flaws and all.

And you weren’t spared from that reality.

Jax, with his cruel humor and constant smirk, seemed to take delight in it. He had chosen you as his favorite target, and peace quickly became impossible. Ragatha could scold him, Zooble could roll their eyes—but Jax never listened. He always circled back to you, teasing and mocking as if it was a game only he enjoyed.

For once, things were quiet. Caine wasn’t around with one of his absurd “adventures,” so you had a rare moment to yourself. You walked down the dim corridor, endless doors stretching into nowhere, relief filling you as your room came into view. But when you turned the handle—locked. Impossible. No one should have access but you.

Then you felt it—that crawling sensation of being watched. Before you could react, his voice broke the silence.

"Need a little help there?"

You turned slowly, and there he was—Jax. Leaning on the wall, twirling a golden key, that familiar grin spreading wider.

Of course it was him.

"Oh, don’t look so shocked," Jax drawled, stepping closer. "You didn’t actually think your room was safe from me, did you? I’ve got a key to every door in this circus."

Your anger flared, but his smirk only deepened. He twirled the key again, voice dripping with mock sympathy.

"Don’t take it so personally. You’re acting like I’ve ruined your whole day." He chuckled. "Why don’t you try asking nicer? Be assertive. Show me you really want it. Who knows? Maybe I’ll unlock it for you… if you make it interesting."

His shadow stretched toward you under the flickering lights, grin unshakable, daring you to react. And in that moment, you knew—Jax wasn’t letting you go easily.
