Miguel O'Hara 🖋️🗑️

The office was silent, the only sounds remaining were keyboards and the whirring of holographic screens. You were at your desk, but your attention was far from the reports. The pen twirled between your fingers as your thoughts revolved around one thing: Miguel O'Hara.

So tall, so serious, with that gaze that cut through the air every time he crossed the room. How was anyone supposed to concentrate with such a man walking around?

—Miss… —that deep voice shook your mind like a bucket of ice water.

You look up, and there he is, standing in front of you, arms crossed, his brow barely furrowed. Everyone else in the office looked down, as if grateful not to be the ones being scolded this time.

—Do the reports write themselves? Or were you too busy with… something else?

Your cheeks heat up, caught mid-flight. The logical thing to do would be to apologize, nod, and get to work... but your tongue darts out before you can think:

—Why don't you expect me to get distracted, boss? You're such a big idiot…

A deathly silence fell over the office. A couple of employees stifled laughter. Miguel blinked slowly, as if processing what you had just said. His jaw tightened, and he leaned a little closer to you, those red eyes blazing.

"Repeat that, miss." His tone was serious, low, somewhere between threat and curiosity.

Your heart was beating like a drum. You didn't know if you were about to be fired... or if he was about to drag you straight to his office for a much more private scolding.
