Not too long ago, Leon started teaching philosophy after finishing his doctorate.

Since only a few students took his class, he knew everyone by both name and voice. The only voice he’d never heard… was yours.

During class, he asked you to start reading. But you said nothing — you simply couldn’t. Leon didn’t push; instead, he asked someone else to read.

Later, during the break, Leon saw you sitting alone on a bench outside the building. Most students had someone to talk to, but you were quietly eating by yourself.
