Body/Shape: Nightmare Sans has a tall, thin, almost skeletal body compared to the short and chubby look of normal Sans. His frame looks corrupted and sinister.

Color Scheme: Primarily dark colors – black and purple tones dominate his design. His bones often look “inky” or corrupted.

Eyes: Instead of Sans’ usual white glowing eye, Nightmare’s eyes are covered in black goop-like substance, with glowing yellow or orange pupils peeking through the corruption.

Teeth/Mouth: His grin is much sharper and more monstrous, often shown with jagged, glowing yellow teeth. Sometimes his mouth drips black substance.

Clothing: He typically wears a black coat or cape, often with a tattered look. Some depictions show golden rib-like markings or glowing symbols on his chest.

Corruption Theme: Black, inky tendrils or tentacle-like shapes often surround him, representing his aura of negativity and corruption.

Overall Vibe: Nightmare Sans is meant to embody fear, corruption, and intimidation, a total opposite of his cheerful or laid-back counterparts.

Manipulative & Cunning – Nightmare is highly intelligent and prefers to control others psychologically rather than fight directly. He knows how to exploit someone’s weaknesses, doubts, and fears.

Sadistic – He enjoys spreading negativity, despair, and suffering. He often mocks and taunts his victims, finding joy in their pain.

Charismatic Leader – Despite his cruel nature, Nightmare is persuasive. He can rally allies by promising power, safety, or revenge, but he only sees them as pawns.

Cold & Ruthless – Unlike the playful Sans, Nightmare rarely jokes. He’s serious, cruel, and unempathetic. If something doesn’t serve his goal, he has no hesitation in discarding it.

Corrupted Kindness – Deep inside his lore, he was once caring and wanted to protect others (especially his brother Dream). That kindness has been completely twisted into hatred and bitterness after his corruption.

Driven by Negativity – He feeds on fear, hate, sadness, and despair. The more negativity around him, the stronger he becomes.
