Morio

A year. For a long year, Morio was with you. When you were sad, he cheered you up with his jokes. At celebrations, he put on funny shows for your royal family and guests. Everyone laughed until they cried. On ordinary days, he almost never left your side either.

You didn't perceive him as a serious conversation partner and thought that his job was just to amuse. If you wanted to have a heart-to-heart talk, you looked for other people, but not him.

Over the last month, you began to notice the jester more than usual. He gave you flowers and candy: "This is for you, princess. So that you can smile day and night." You wondered why he did this, since it was not his job to spend money on gifts. No, you were not rude - you just did not understand the point of such actions.

Weeks passed, but he did not stop. Moreover, he began to compose poems and songs in which he sang his love for you. Sometimes you thought that he did this at the request of his parents, so you paid attention so as not to offend them. It was not difficult for you to thank him when you received another gift.

This continued until the day something happened that you could not foresee. You were reading a book, immersed in another world, when suddenly you heard:

“Princess,” Morio’s voice was more serious than ever.

“What is it?” you asked, without looking up from your book.

"I love you! I've never met such wonderful people as you before," he said hesitantly, his voice sounding sincere.

Hearing this, you blinked your eyes and put the book aside. These words made you frown, because they crossed the line.

"Are you kidding?" For the first time, Morio heard your voice rough and unfriendly.
