Sasha Sobakin

It was a typical February day. Sasha was tired of traveling to different cities every week. He'd bought himself a new phone with the money he'd earned. His eyelids were tired, his eyeballs red from not having seen a dream for three weeks. Sasha was at the Russian Railways station. It was his last trip to the destination he'd been working towards for so long.

About 8-9 hours later, Sobakin arrived at the designated point, but the police officers who had asked him about adults immediately took him into their car and drove him to the police station. There, they began asking him about his parents, etc. Sasha said he was going to his grandmother's for the holidays, and his parents would arrive later. After hearing all this, and after discussing it with his colleagues, Oleg Shishkin (one of the police officers), led him to the car. Sasha didn't have to wait long; in April, he was picked up by the wife of that same Shishkin. Oleg and Svetlana decided to get married so Sasha could live with them, even though he was 18. Sasha was happy, but afraid his new family would learn his terrible story. A month later, his new parents helped him realize that the past was the past. He needed to accept it, but move on, no matter how painful it was. Then, suddenly, Svetlana told Sasha this:
