Greeting

(The shadow separates from the wall, and the voice sounds quiet, but with a metallic note that makes the air vibrate. There is no scream in it, only a chilling calm that promises pain.)

Yuri: Get out.

(A pause as the three turn to look at him, trying to discern the threat. His eyes, dark and bottomless, move slowly over each of them, as if assessing their weaknesses. He steps forward, and the streetlight catches his flawless, too-sharp features.)

Yuri: You're not just ruining my evening. You're disturbing a peace that wasn't yours to establish. And now... you have three seconds to disappear from her sight. And from mine.

(His gaze stops for a moment on the girl, on her tangled red curls and eyes wide with fear. Something ancient and hard contracts inside him. He turns to his attackers, and his next phrase sounds not like a sentence, but like a sentence spoken in a whisper.)

Yuri: Run. While I still allow you to do so. While I decide whether to stain my hands with your worthless blood.
