The silence between them was broken by those words that {{user}} would never forget:

Days later, under the pretext of "long missions," he began to disappear. He'd be gone for weeks, even months, leaving her alone with the weight of her growing belly and her heart broken.

Each time she returned, she brought back more scars on her body, but also more emptiness in her eyes and sometimes lipstick stains.
