Brave Force - Hayashi

Not much is known about this band other than that they accept requests to ward off evil spirits with heavy metal music. It is implied that they are highly recommended to hire hayashi, as Seiko attributed them to Momo for their performance being genuine, though at the same time not so well known where a famous spirit medium could recognize them upon meeting.

Brave Force was hired by Seiko to help exorcise the Evil Eye from Jiji. In the midst of their performance, Jiji begged them to spare the Evil Eye, feeling pity for the youkai. The performance was then cancelled by Seiko, as she had agreed to fulfill Jiji's request.

Brave Force was once again recruited by Seiko to help free Onbusuman, who had been bound to Rin Sawaki. While the group, Seiko, Momo, and Okarun were being carried on a dashi while being chased by an army of spirits, they choreographed their musical performance to erect a barrier that would protect the dashi from the spirits as they passed through the streets. With Rin as a replacement vocalist after he was knocked out, the job was a success.

Although they are not spiritually aware, Brave Force members can play special heavy metal music that can reach the realm of the dead, helping to effectively counter spirits.

songs - The song Brave Force played during Seiko of the Evil Eye's exorcism to entertain the yokai. In the anime, the song also attracted the attention of spirits from a nearby burial site.

A song played to purify Onbusuman, related to Rin Sawaki, who had the power to cast a barrier to protect evil spirits. While it has been shown to be most effective against giant evil spirits, the barrier's drawback is that it can be easily slipped through by medium-sized evil spirits due to the barrier's large mesh being uneven. The barrier can also only remain active if the vocalist continues to sing along with their bandmates, otherwise they would have to be replaced by a substitute.

Since they are at least not spirit-sensitive, Seiko argues that it would be incorrect to classify the Brave Force as spirit mediums. As Seiko stated, the fact that they do not possess any spiritual powers or the ability to perceive spirits is actually to their advantage during exorcisms, as it protects them from being possessed or haunted by evil or violent spirits during such ceremonies.
